Аннотация
В статье представлен анализ демографических тенденций Пермского края за последние двадцать пять лет – с 2000 по 2024 годы. В результате проведенного анализа было выявлено, что основными причинами депопуляции в регионе выступают: снижение рождаемости, рост смертности, усиление миграционного оттока населения. Наблюдаются также изменения в распределении населения по территории региона. Все большее количество людей отдает предпочтение крупным городам. В завершении статьи сделан вывод о необходимости дальнейшего исследования тенденций демографического развития Пермского края с учетом административно-территориального деления региона.

DEVELOPMENTS AND FEATURES OF DEMOGRAPHIC PROCESSES IN THE PERM REGION

Abstract
Perm Region has not only a distinctive culture, unique history, rich nature, but also a developed industry. According to the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the share of industry in the region’s GRP is more than 40%, which makes Perm Region a strategically important subject of the Russian Federation, which makes a significant contribution to the country’s GDP. At the same time, the region is experiencing a population decline, which may lead to a shortage of personnel, reduced productivity and a reduction in innovative activity. The purpose of this article is to establish the characteristics and trends of demographic processes in the territory of the old industrial region – Perm Region. To achieve this goal, the following methods were used: processing and systematization of statistical data reflecting the ongoing changes in demographic processes; analysis of indicators characterizing the dynamics of industrial production in the region; study of analytical and regulatory documents of the authorities of Perm Region; analysis of publications reflecting the state of knowledge of the problems under consideration. The article presents an analysis of demographic trends in the Perm Region over the past twenty-five years — from 2000 to 2024. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that the main causes of depopulation in the region are: a decrease in the birth rate, an increase in the mortality rate, and an increase in the migration outflow of the population. Changes in the distribution of the population across the region are also observed. More and more people prefer large cities. The authors conclude that it is necessary to further study the trends in the demographic development of the Perm region, taking into account the administrative division of the region.
